 About Guide

  Acknowledgements

The Conference South Guide was originated by Nick Bell for the inaugural season 2004/2005. The original site ceased in October 2005 and was re-started by me on November 20th 2005. My thanks go to Nick for all his help. I would also like to thank David Bauckham for the use of the photographs from his wonderful site www.pyramidpassion.co.uk. The current design was implemented at ten past midnight on October 19th 2006

  Site Updates

The site will be updated daily, whilst on match days I plan to update the site as soon as possible after games are played but I might be off watching a match so sometimes it will be later than others.

  Live Matchday Updates

Live Score updates were originated on the site for the season 2006/2007, these are brought to you by volunteers of the clubs in the league. Thanks to everyone who has helped so far with updating the live scores service. I still need help from supporters of Basingstoke Town, Bath City, Bognor Regis Town, Braintree Town, Cambridge City, Dorchester Town and Lewes to update their scores, so if you can help, e-mail me at csg@confsouth.co.uk or click the contact us button and let me know. It's rather easy to do, all you need is a phone with any wap/gprs connection, most phones these days have this capability.

  Navigating the site

From the home page of the site you can link to all of the clubs pages on the menu down the left and also the numerous other pages on the site. The news stories on the front page link to external news stories, and the older news stories can be found by clicking 'more news'. If there's a story you think I've missed then contact me to let me know on the button above. From the latest results box you can navigate to all the details of the scorers and previous results from the link at the bottom of the box, likewise you can see all future fixtures by clicking on 'forthcoming fixtures' at the bottom of the latest fixtures box.

Once you navigate into a clubs page, you can from there go to the squad information by clicking in the box 'player information and more', you can navigate into any other clubs page by clicking on their name within the fixtures list. You can also find links to all relevant sites for that club, i.e. websites, forums, media. You can click on location to find where the stadium is situated, or if you want to find directions on how to get there then click on 'Directions', this then takes you to multimap were you can input your postcode and the postcode of the stadium is already populated for you to find directions conveniently.

  Submit a site

If you think there are any sites that I should be linking to, then please don't hesitate to contact me. Not all sites that are submitted will be included, but as long as it's relevant and kept up to date then there shouldn't be a problem

  Future Updates

For the 2006/2007 season I have added an extra page to each clubs page to include more information about the players, these are linked to from each clubs main page on the link marked 'player information and more »', if you want to write anything about any of the players contact me on the link above and I can add it to their write-ups.

I would also welcome any articles about your club or non-league in general, these can be added to your specific clubs pages, obviously with an acknowledgement. I am also interested in adding information about the places themselves (an idea originally suggested by Taz of Sutton) so how about writing an article about the pubs around the ground, if you are a landlord of a pub within walking distance of a Conference South ground why not let me know and I can compile a list.

If there's anything else you think should be on the site then let me know at the link above.

  Errors

Please, if you see any errors no matter how small e-mail me and let me know, also it is easier to gather information on some clubs more than others so if there's anything you think I should know then please don't hesitate to tell me. All help will be gratefully received.
