From basingstokefc- Jason joined Basingstoke from Reading in 1999 where he was captain of the reserve side. He made his debut in a 3-1 league cup win against Walton & Hersham and has since gone on make over 350 appearances for the club. This figure would be higher but for a terrible knee injury which kept Jase out for all of the 2002/03 season. The big defender has won the fans player of the the year on three seperate occasions- the 2001/02, 2003/04 and 2005/06 seasons. He is a fans favourite and is the football in the community coach for the Basingstoke area. Jason was named Away Fans Player of the Season for the 2007/08 season after he formed an awesome defensive partnership with Joe Dolan and showed Vines he was wrong to keep him on the bench for much of the previous season. After Canvey dropped out of the Conference, Joe joined Basingstoke. During the 2007/08 season, Joe was named Supporters Player of the Season and also captained the side to Hampshire Senior Cup glory. From basingstokefc- Carl joined us originally in January 2007 from Tooting & Mitcham after previous spells with Walton & Hersham and Sutton United. He also previously played for Farnborough where he scored 15 goals in 50 starts, including 4 in one game. However, Carl failed to find any real form for 'Stoke and only scored one goal in his time at the club. He left in September 2007 when he joined Woking with Michael Charles coming the other way. Sean Hankin (Basingstoke Town)
From basingstokefc- Sean started his career as an apprentice at Crystal Palace and turned professional in 1999. He made one sub appearance for the club but failed to make a real impact. He was loaned out to Torquay in 2001 which soon became permanent. He made over 40 appearances for them but injury cut his time their short. Sean then had spells with Margate, Northwich Victoria, Crawley Town, Lewes and St. Albans City. He joined Farnborough Town in 2005 and remained at the club until they folded in 2007 when he joined Basingstoke. The 2007/08 season saw Sean playing more of a 'fifth defender' role covering for any injuries or suspensions in the back line. New boss Frank Gray has now converted Sean to the defensive midfield role. (posted by danner)
